Highland and Islands MARAC

Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) is our multi-agency process for increasing the safety of those subject to high risk domestic abuse. There are four area MARACs in Highland which involve statutory and third sector partners working together by sharing information and developing an action plan with the aim of increasing safety of the victim and reducing risks posed by the perpetrator.  A copy of the Risk Identification Checklist are Referral Form are included at the bottom of this page along with guides for agencies who are represented at MARAC.

Training on the MARAC process is available through the Violence Against Women Partnership – for more information, please see our training page . There is also a MARAC eModule available to staff with access to Turas Learn (predominantly NHS Highland staff).
